“Doing the assembly line work” Arch-Factory Competition


Rules and Guidelines

  1. The competition begins on 23rd September 2011 and will run till 20th November 2011.
  2. The subject of this competition is the creation of Product Visualization.
  3. The subject should be related to architecture (e.g. lamp, furniture, tech..) and it’s possible to use both existing and new concept subjects.
  4. No commercial products like Evermotion or Designconnected (or anything else) could be used as subjects.
  5. The minimum requirement is to submit an image for each of these milestones – Concept Sketch or reference photo, Modeling, Lighting, Render, Post Production and Final Image.
  6. You can use every 3D software you want, post processing inside Photoshop or other 2D software are allowed. We require information about software you used.
  7. You can post up to three different camera angles for one scene (closeups for example).
  8. The work you submit to this Competition must be your own personal work, groups and companies are not allowed.
  9. Final submission resolution should be not lower then 1200px for 720px

Judges

Thomas Arici

A 25 years old CG artist based in Italy. Discovered 3D world when I was 22 and, after 1 year of full-immersion study as self-teach he began working into his father’s architectural studio as architectural visualiser. Now, working at Engram Srl, an italian Archviz Studio based in Faenza.

Konrad Hamala

Graduated Civil Engineering on University of Science and Technology in Cracow, Poland. Working as structural engineer and university lecturer. His big passion for over than 6 years is 3d modeling and making architectural visualisations. Related with CG WorkShop Training portal (cgworkshop.org).

Pawel Podwojewski

Globally acclaimed for his work in the CG world, Pawel has taken architectural visualizations to a new peak, with his distinct outlook and passion for innovation. An architect by profession, Pawel has been influential in the development of designs and concepts in the field of architecture in various industries such as Retail, Residential and Commercial properties and Urban planning. Pawel has conceptualized and designed the underwater hotel , combining aesthetics and deep-sea technology, to give form to a futuristic center for leisure and recreation. Owner of cgworkshop training portal (cgworkshop.org) and Motyw.
